” I’m having a backyard wedding” Those words always created one image in my mind – until we shot Shereen & Olivier’s wedding! Even as we were waiting for confirmation at the gate to access the property and as we were directed to park on the other side of the horse barn – I suppose it was then that my vision of a few string lights, a couple of well placed patio lanterns and the sound of a screen door closing in the summer night as an aunt walked her famous casserole to the buffet vanished completely. We were greeted by sprawling lawns, a magnificent mansion, and the most beautiful landscaping I think we’d ever laid our eyes on. The home (a friend of the bride’s) was actually the former “home” of Nickelbacks frontman Chad Kroeger & wife Avril Lavigne.

Anyway… back to the wedding.. which was no ordinary farm wedding, can only be enjoyed now by it’s memories in print. I am so so thankful we were the lucky ones chosen to document this incredible day. The sweetness of it all will always be remembered. – Wishing you a lifetime of happiness S+O.
